Olympic follows all-inclusive path
11/19/2009 10:53:00 AM
Olympic Holidays has launched its new Tropical & Exotic brochure with more all-inclusive content to satisfy clients who want to pay an all-in price up front to minimise their holiday outlay.
Commercial director Photis Lambrianides said at the launch: "Paying in advance for the complete holiday offers terrific value and has particular appeal in this period of recession.
"We have substantially added to the number of all-inclusives on Egypt's Red Sea Riviera, where prices are strongly competitive and the recession has had the least effect.
"Below five-star level, the Red Sea has many quality three- and four-star all-inclusives and they represent exceptional value for those clients with a more restricted budget."
This winter, Olympic has expanded its choice of Red Sea all-inclusives to a massive 43 properties with additions in the popular resorts of Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab and Hurghada.
Added in Sharm are the five-star Tropitel Naama Bay; four-star Aqua Blue Sharm El Sheikh, Tropicana Azure Club and Tropicana Rosetta Hotel; and three-star Sahara Grand Sharm Resort.
In Dahab, Tropical & Exotic newly features the three-star all-inclusive Tropitel Dahab Oasis Hotel and in Hurghada it adds the all-inclusive five-star LTI Titanic Beach Hotel Hurghada.
Two Novotels — the Novotel Sharm Palm Hotel and Novotel Sharm Beach Hotel — join Olympic's Sharm hotel offer on B&B; also new is the four-star Le Meridien Dahab Resort in Dahab.
Lambrianides said: "Huge development is ongoing in the Red Sea region and it's our fastest growing destination. With plenty of air capacity and the huge number of resorts, prices are attractive."
Diving is featured, with an extensive choice of dive centres in all the featured Red Sea resorts, along with diving packages and competitively priced liveaboard diving holidays.
The Red Sea leads in at £379 for seven nights' half-board at the three-star Amar Sina Hotel and Al Diwan Resort Hotel, both in Sharm El Sheikh (seven nights' all-inclusive from £425).
Olympic has further expanded its Egypt offer in the Nile desert resort of Luxor, adding two five-star hotels of major groups — the Sheraton Luxor Resort and Maritim Jolie Ville Luxor.
A revamped Nile cruise programme introduces the five-star deluxe vessel Nile Dolphin, with seven-night cruises priced from £835. One-week Nile cruises lead in at £638 on the four-star Treasure.
In Goa, Olympic has expanded the choice of two- and three-star options in the northern resorts — they include the three-star Nazri Resort in Baga and three-star Phoenix Park Inn in Candolim.
Lambrianides said: "Our Goa programme includes a mix of properties in the south, which has started to develop in the last few years but is still much quieter than the northern resorts."
There is also a good choice of hotels in The Gambia and Lambrianides said: "Goa and The Gambia offer exceptional value for a winter holiday and both are strong on repeat business."
Olympic leads in Goa at £595 for seven nights' B&B at the Falcon Guest House in Calangute. Prices for The Gambia start at £459 for seven nights' B&B at the two-star Badala Park Hotel in Kotu.
Other features of the Tropical & Exotic programme include:
* Early booking discounts of up to £650 per couple for departures in summer 2010 and winter 2010/11.
* New low deposit of £49 per person secures any holiday. * Extensive choice of all-inclusives in Egypt and Goa. * Spa hotel selection for the Red Sea and Goa. * Comprehensive Red Sea diving programme. * Gold Collection hotels superior in their category in the featured destinations. * The majority of Christmas and New Year gala dinners included in the holiday price. * Generous child discounts at most resorts in the programme. * Free extras and discounts at many hotels.
