Spring 2010 will mark the hotly awaited opening date of the completely transformed Le Royal Monceau. 20 months in the making and costing in excess of 100 million euros, the illustrious hotel will open its doors to unleash a dynamic take on luxury, making it the most exciting hotel to open in years. Located on Avenue Hoche near the iconic Arc de Triomphe, Le Royal Monceau will imbue the captivating and vibrant atmosphere of the Parisian capital. Not just a hotel but an enthralling experience showing off the city’s creativity and talent. The hotel has been designed entirely by the eclectic and celebrated Philippe Starck and will be directed by the doyen of hotel management Sylvain Ercoli. There will be 150 elegantly but uniquely designed rooms and 56 suites featuring never-before-heard-of offerings and details. Laurent André of Spoon fame will preside over the fabulous dining concepts and Pierre Hermé will create delicious patisseries collectively offering guests an innovative gastronomic experience. The two bars will provide guests with the chance to mix with the crème of Paris’ bohemian cognoscenti. It will be the first ever Parisian hotel to offer an in-house 100 seat cinema showing exclusive creations, an Art Gallery devoted to scenography and an Arts Bookstore. For wellness there will be a beauty salon, with hair salon and hammam; a Fitness, Cardio and Pilates centre; and a spectacular basement swimming pool with natural light from the landscaped terrace above. Le Royal Monceau is the newest addition to the luxury portfolio of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, a collection renowned for embodying global sophistication and unique charm. www.raffles.com
