Making the Most Out of West End Shows

If you are inexperienced in terms of where everything is in London, it can be a rather daunting experience if you are planning to enjoy West End shows for the first time. Thankfully, there are plenty of different transport methods which you can use to get to some of the most prominent theatres in the capital.

Normally, it isn’t getting to a theatrical performance that is the problem; it's getting back. Tube services normally end shortly after midnight, meaning that you can sometimes feel rushed for time. If you are watching the clock constantly, it can affect your enjoyment of the show you have gone to see, and in some instances, you might not be able to go for that contemplative drink afterwards.

There are night buses which can get you from A to B 24 hours a day, but if you have travelled outside of London in order to get there on the train, you can find that many long-distance services end earlier in the evening. If you are driving, it can be the last thing you want to do after a long (and potentially emotional!) night.

Staying at hotels in London can be expensive but booking your theatre tickets and hotel room in conjunction with one another can save you money and ensure that you get the leisure time you deserve.

It is all about planning, and the more you do in advance the less you will have to think about during the evening. Not only this, but arranging city breaks for the coming months is something you may be able to secure at a discount, just like buying train tickets ahead of travel can save you a small fortune.

Theatre breaks are a chance to make the most out of one of your passions, hopefully with somebody who is as equally enthused as you are. If you want to get good seats that offer value for money instead of extortion, you should also consider booking in advance. With fewer people registering their interest for performances that are weeks away, you buck the trend by seizing the opportunity to book at the earliest convenience. From here, you can use the money which you would have saved in discounts and invest it in a ticket offering far better seats; allowing you to get closer to the action!
