  Iberia moves to T1 in Cairo

On March 9th, Iberia will move its flight operations from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 at Cairo International airport, which has been newly renovated. The ticket counter of the Spanish airline will be next to the Royal Jordanian offices and near to British Airways ticket counters, both partner airlines in the oneworld alliance. The British airline will move to Terminal 1 a week later than Iberia.

  Gatwick shuttle nears completion

London Gatwick’s new inter-terminal shuttle is a step nearer to completion, following the successful crane lift of the new carriages onto the track. In an engineering operation lasting over two days six new cars, each weighing 14 tonnes, were lifted 15 feet before being lowered onto the track that runs between North and South Terminals. The cars will now undergo a period of intensive testing to ensure they are ready to carry passengers in time for the busy summer months. The shuttle service will come into operation in July, a month ahead of schedule. The £44 million project, which has also involved refurbishing the track and stations, will provide a state-of-the-art service as annual passenger
