New hotels open across Oz

Yet more accommodation options are now available in Australia with the opening of four new properties across the vast country. Argus Apartments has opened in Darwin in the Northern Territory with one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments (www.argusdarwin.com.au); Spicers Balfour Hotel (www.spicersbalfourhotel.com.au) has opened in Brisbane, Queensland; and a new luxury homestead is now available in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia (www.rawnsleypark.com.au/main/accommodation). In addition, the five-star Saffire hotel will open on April 2, located in Coles Bay on Tasmania’s Freycinet Peninsula (www.saffire-freycinet.com.au). Argus Apartments in Darwin, Northern Territory Centrally located in Darwin’s bustling city centre, the newly opened Argus Apartments is a 4.5 star rated property. The one-, two- and three- bedroom self contained apartments all offer luxurious private spaces, while the penthouses have real wow factor! Argus Apartments Darwin is also centrally located to the beaches, nature parks, art galleries, and vibrant nightspots. Day tours to Kakadu, Katherine Gorge and Litchfield National Park are all available – a must for bird and wildlife lovers. Standard one bedroom from A$149 (approx £75) and Penthouse from A$850 (approx £425). Brisbane welcomes new Spicers Balfour Hotel, Queensland This exclusive hotel, which from the outside will resemble many of the large and beautiful Queenslander homes of its inner-city Brisbane neighbourhood, is scheduled to open in May 2010. Accommodation will be in nine spacious rooms, each with their own contemporary European design. With a dining room, library, secluded courtyard, spacious verandah, roof top bar with city and Story Bridge views, Spicers Balfour Hotel is the ideal accommodation option. Rates start at A$295 per night (approx £150) with full breakfast. New Luxury Homestead Accommodation in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia Arkapena, a two-bedroom homestead, luxuriously renovated in the style of Rawnsleys' Eco Villas, with spectacular views of Chace Range and Wilpena Pound, will open to guests from April 1st 2010. Located on the 9,000 hectare Arkapena Station (neighboring Rawnsley Park), Arkapena has a private outdoor shower, alfresco entertaining area with barbeque and its own private in-ground swimming pool. Accommodation costs $A490 per night (approx £445) for two adults, including continental breakfast provisions, or $A590 for 4 adults (approx £300). Luxury hotel, Saffire, to open in Tasmania Five-star hotel, Saffire, is set to open on 2 April 2010. Located at Coles Bay on Tasmania’s beautiful Freycinet Peninsula, the A$32 million hotel will include a world-class day spa and gym and will showcase Tasmanian fresh produce and exceptional wines in a fine dining restaurant. Saffire will cater for a maximum of just 40 guests, accommodated in 20 free-standing luxury suites, comprising of six Luxury Suites, 10 Deluxe Suites, and four Premium Suites. They will cost from A$1,000 to A$3,000 (approx £500 - £1,500) per suite per night. Each suite will offer magnificent ocean views, designer bathrooms, private decks, king size beds, separate lounge areas and state-of-the-art audio, visual and communications technology.
