Travelex announce World Cup Visa cash passports

Travelex has launched two prepaid currency cards for South African rand and British pounds to celebrate the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. The Limited Edition Visa Cash Passports are adorned with the St George’s Cross flying over a crowd of fans and the official logo. The prepaid cards will allow passengers to get around the South African currency restrictions of R5, 000 (£435). Up to R85,000 (£7,000) can be uploaded onto the cash passports and then reloaded online commission free. The exchange rate is locked upfront, has free ATM withdrawals and no charges on purchase transactions. Ana Ansell, Travelex Director, said: “Through Visa, we are absolutely delighted to offer England fans an exclusive, Limited Edition Cash Passport, meaning they can not only get behind their team, but have the added benefits of safe, secure spending while in South Africa.” The cards will be available from April for a limited time and can be bought online, at any UK Travelex store or The Co-operative Travel.
